Dr. Lichauco has been practicing Neonatology at Tucson Medical Center since 2007. He graduated from the Far Eastern University - N.R.M.F. in the Philippines with a pre-medical Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology. He finished his training in New York: Pediatric Residency in Brookdale Hospital and Neonatology Fellowship in S.U.N.Y. Downstate Hospital. He worked for 6 years in Maine for his waiver sponsorship to be a US citizen. He is married to a Pathologist, Dr. Rosa Tabanda-Lichauco, who work at Tucson Medical Center. 
He has 2 grown - up girls, one pursuing a PhD Immunology at the University of Washington, and one finishing in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Lichauco has been handling monthly mortality and morbidity Conference in Neonatology and has been involved in teaching Medical residents and students.
