Dr. Gutierrez grew up in California. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2008 and completed his general surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He moved to the east coast for fellowship training in Pediatric Surgery at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. He is a veteran having served proudly in the United States Navy. Prior to moving to Tucson, he worked at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. He is an avid traveler and has a special interest in Global Surgery. The best part about Tucson in his own words “are the people.”
