Matthew Atlas, M.D.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dr. Atlas went to college at Duke University. Dr Atlas came to Tucson after graduation from college and earned a Masters of Science in Nutritional Biochemistry and his Medical Degree at the University of Arizona
Songsiri Chanvitayapongs, M.D
Dr. Songsiri Chanvitayapongs, MD joined Old Pueblo Anesthesia in October 2005. She was valedictorian of her high school class in 1993 and finished a combined 8 year undergraduate/medical school program at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001.
Luis Esparza, M.D.
Dr. Esparza joined Old Pueblo Anesthesia in 1993 after completing anesthesiology residency at the University of Arizona. He has made pediatric care a routine part of his practice since beginning his career and completed his Pediatric Anesthesia Subspecialty Certification when it became available in 2014.
Robin Kloth, M.D.
Dr. Kloth attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison for her undergraduate and medical degrees. Her training in anesthesiology was at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Neesann Marietta, M.D.
Dr. Marietta is a board certified anesthesiologist. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou) summa cum laude with a degree in Biology and continued her medical school there. She did her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and her pediatric training at Boston Children’s hospital.
Rich McCoppin, M.D.
Originally, from the Pasadena area, Dr McCoppin graduated the University of Notre Dame. Subsequently, he taught history at the high school level where he also coached baseball, soccer, and cross country.
Mark Murphy, DO
Mark Murphy is a “T-Loc” or Tucson Local, and he completed his civil engineering degree at the University of Arizona prior to pursuing medicine. Before attending medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ; he worked for a demolition company in Oakland, California. He completed his anesthesia residency at Texas Tech and recently completed a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at the University of California Davis. Mark is married with two young children, a four-year-old daughter and a ten-month-old son. In his spare time, he enjoys nearly all outdoor activities especially soccer and hiking. He is excited to be back in Tucson with OPA.
Matt Offerdahl, M.D.
Dr Offerdahl attended medical school at the University of Minnesota and completed his anesthesia residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dave Rogers, M.D.
Dr. Rogers graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1985 and then completed residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in 1989.
Phil Schulte, DO
Phil Schulte, DO is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2010 and went on to complete a master’s degree in Anatomy as well as his medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA. He completed his four years of anesthesia residency in 2021 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
Dr. Schulte has been with Old Pueblo Anesthesia since August of 2021. In his free time he enjoys traveling, cycling and going on hikes with his wife and dog so they can enjoy the new landscape of Tucson.
Heidi Tavel, M.D.
A graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, she completed anesthesia residency at the University of Arizona, and was a chief resident. She is currently a partner and practicing anesthesiologist with Old Pueblo Anesthesia.
Al Zehngut, M.D.
Dr. Zehngut grew up in Tucson, and completed college, medical school and anesthesiology residency at the University of Arizona.
